The ABE is a Constituent and Licensed member body of the Society for the Environment and as such is entitled to award the qualification of Chartered Environmentalist to members meeting the criteria.
The Association has close links with the Society of Professional Engineers, carrying out the administrative work for that body. Approximately 2/5ths of SPE members are also ABE members.
In addition the Association recognises the Professional standing of other Institutions and will consider memberships in relation to these bodies when assessing applicants. These bodies include:
