Formerly an award presented by the Institute of Maintenance and Building Management (IMBM), The Gold Laurel Award is presented to a project which has been nominated by a regional committee who feel that the project promotes excellence within the industry.
There is no limit to the number of awards that can be presented each year, providing that they meet the criteria set out by the Association's Awards Panel. The award itself, the Gold Laurel Award plaque, is intended to be displayed for all to see.
Criteria:
- The award is not for new build projects, the building/structure must have undergone post construction works
- There are demonstrable benefits resulting from the post construction works
- The post construction works show notable application of materials and/or techniques and/or craft/trade skills
- The completed structure is sympathetic to location and community requirements
- The execution of post construction works has shown due regard and consideration to environmental issues
- The post construction works have demonstrated outstanding technical achievement
If you feel that there is a project in your area which meets the above criteria, contact your regional committee with details.
