London and South East region

Download the PDF Registration Form

Following a successful pilot in 2006, the CIC's ConstructionSkills team is planning to introduce its Young Professionals Development Programme into the London and South East region in autumn 2007.
This free programme, which was piloted in Manchester last year, is available to recent graduates entering the industry in 2007 and students on their work placement year. It consists of 3 short modules over a total of 8 days and aims to develop to promote interdisciplinary understanding and communication, two skills which employers are looking for in graduates entering the industry.

The following subjects will be covered: Health and Safety in Design Presentation Skills Personal Development

The programme is open to recent graduates entering a career in the Built Environment and undergraduate students who are undertaking a placement of at least 12 weeks as part of a built environment degree. All built environment disciplines are eligible, thereby giving vital experience of pan-professional working at the very start of the students' working careers. Please find attached a brochure which gives full details about the course.

A grant will be paid to the delegates' employers on successful completion of the full eight day programme.

Please note that places on the course are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

For more information on the Young Professionals Development Programme, or to enquire about enrolling a placement student, please contact Janette Welton-Pai at the CIC-ConstructionSkills team (email jwelton-pai@cic.org.uk or telephone 020 7399 7404).
