The Scottish Building Standards Agency TECHNICAL HANDBOOKS 2007 The new 2007 Scottish Building Standards Agency Technical Handbooks will be available to buy from the 26th February 2007. These revised standards come into force on the 1st of May 2007 and will set the standard for all applications to build in Scotland after that date. SCOTTISH LABOUR PARTY

The Scottish Labour Party Conference was held in Aviemore on 24-26 February.
The European Fire Sprinkler Network and British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association provided an information/exhibition stand at the Conference. Ian Gough, ABE Professional and Technical Executive helped man the stand, answering questions about the new fire sprinkler requirements.
Scotland has recently included requirements for fire sprinklers in Scottish Technical Standards in support of their building regulations.
