Week Commencing 23 January 2012
We started our year with a meeting with the Engineering Council following our submission for Professional Affiliate Membership, which was awarded on 26 January. Working in partnership with another professional body initially, we will be able to award the designation C.Eng, I.Eng and Technician Engineer.
I attended the ABE Northern Ireland AGM and CPD event on ventilation and sustainability on 24 January which included a visit to the new Titanic building in Belfast.
On 25 January I attended the West Midlands AGM and CPD event which focussed on roofing and on 26 January attended the East Midlands Region AGM and CPD event on Building Energy Management Systems.
Week Commencing 19 December 2011
We have been reviewing all our processes and procedures to prepare for ISO: 9002 accreditation.
The external reports on Finance and Membership have been received and acted upon.
Attended my first Federation of British Fire Organisation meeting, meeting with the Chairman of the ABE Benevolent Fund, attended the UK National Association Congress, visited the AGM in Scotland and we had our internal Quarterly Business Review attended by the President and Senior Vice President.
Had a PR meeting on Friday and our Team Christmas Dinner on Saturday night.
We are closing the office from the end of this week until 3rd January.

Week Commencing 31 October 2011
This week the Executive Team are meeting with the Auditors to finalise the 2010/11 Annual Accounts. Looks like we have managed to make a small surplus this year.
The monthly report for the Management Group to be produced and preparation for the Annual Conference in Newcastle is taking place.
