Professional Interview Route (non-degree)

The Professional Interview route (non-degree) has been designed as an integral part of the routes to corporate membership for candidates who hold a mixture of academic qualifications and industrial experience. Applicants must hold a HNC qualification or equivalent and hold a responsible position within their organisation.

The Application Form, current CV, CPD Record and Personal Development Plan and further documents will be assessed to ensure that you meet the standards and competencies required prior to being invited for a professional interview. Success in the professional interview will enable you to progress to membership of the ABE. Please ensure that you submit the following documents (in triplicate) for assessment.

Personal Statement:
This document may commence with an expansion of your current job role and encompass the following information:

You must submit a statement of your experience relevant to the construction industry and building engineering. This should give a clear indication of work undertaken and experience gained, since leaving full time education, ideally over the last 10 years.

Expansion of Works:
Please provide evidence of previous experience with regards to problem solving that will show your:

The portfolio of evidence must contain a signed letter from your employer/line manager certifying that the work represents your personal contribution.
