


The BSc (Hons) Building Engineering degree along with other accredited degrees has been designed as an integral part of the routes to Corporate Membership for both Associate and Corporate members of the Association of Building Engineers. These degrees are designed to meet the Quality Assurance Agency's subject benchmark for graduates in Building, Engineering and Surveying and associated disciplines within the built environment. Members will have the opportunity to gain knowledge on the learning outcomes for building engineers as defined by the Construction Industry Board (CIB) Educational Framework during the academic process.
The
application form, current CV, CPD Record and Personal Development Plan and further documents will be assessed to ensure that you meet the standards and competencies required prior to being invited for a professional interview. Success in gaining your degree will enable you to progress onto the professional interview and progress your membership of the ABE. Please ensure that you submit the following documents (in triplicate) for assessment.

You must submit a statement of your experience relevant to the construction industry and building engineering. This should give a clear indication of work undertaken and experience gained, since the completion of the degree, minimum 2 years if full-time. If the degree is studied part-time you will require a minimum of one year following completion of the degree.
