Competence is assessed by candidates undertaking 1 ½ days examination and a professional interview.
Day 1 - Examination Day 1 (full day)
This will be a desktop-based practical examination using information details, drawings, specifications and other materials relevant to building engineering in general and your specialist area of expertise.
The examination is open book in nature and relies on an ‘office’ approach.
Day 2 – Examination Day 2 (1/2 day)
An examination on construction related matters and legislation in relation to your current role and responsibilities.
Candidates should respond to the open book exam questions using professional judgement and provide solutions using their professional awareness of current developments and legislation.
Professional Interview (at a later date following successful completion of the examinations)
