Membership can be achieved at any time of year however, the Annual Subscription rates run from 01 September to 31 August.

Please note that an additional, non-refundable, £50 application fee is payable on application for all grades on joining, except Students and Affiliates. Applicants also need to consider any additional costs such as Professional Interviews when applying for membership.

Payment

The administration fee must accompany a completed membership application form. Payment must be by sterling bank draft or cheque (drawn on a UK bank) made payable to the ABE. If you wish to pay by credit card, please contact the Membership Department.

Income Tax Relief

For those liable for UK Income Tax, the annual subscription is allowable as a deductible expense for the purpose of Schedule E Assessment subject to the usual rules. Tax Relief Reference: CI/Sub/66 VAT Exempt.
