This Level 6 NVQ is designed for Construction Site Management practitioners working in building –general and housing, civil engineering and highways. It is suitable for existing Construction Site Managers who are seeking to achieve recognition and for those who are developing their abilities within this occupation.
Programme Aims
The aim of this NVQ is to stretch and enhance the individual’s performance within the workplace. The qualification will allow individuals to identify the nature of activities, allocate activities and timeframes for completion, monitor team member’s performance, motivate and implement corrective action where necessary; taking into account the health, safety and welfare of team members and visitors to the site.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this NVQ the candidate will be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and experience in:
- development and maintenance of good working relationships
- allocation of tasks, taking into account abilities and monitoring performance ensuring that tasks are completed correctly, on time and undertaken in accordance with health and safety legislation; and
- development and implementation of systems to monitor and record project progress, using the information collected to identify areas in
which improvement is required and initiate action plans.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must currently be working within the area of Construction Site Management and have a minimum of 18 months’ experience. They must also be responsible for other people and be a decision maker.
Fees
NVQ Level 6 – £2,300 plus VAT
Course fees must be paid prior to commencement of the qualification. Instalment options may be offered upon agreement with the Centre.

*it is anticipated that most candidates will use the ePortfolio system, however candidates who require additional focus days with assessors may receive these at an additional cost of £100 per day.
