Diploma in Built Environment Development and Control Technical Support - Level 3

ABBEThe Level 3 qualification has been developed for candidates working in the field of Planning (including planning administration, enforcement and technical activities), Conservation and Building Control in a variety of support roles. Candidates may work for local authorities and other public organisations, or as an approved inspector or in private sector consultancies.

Programme Aims

The aim of the NVQ is to stretch and enhance the candidate’s performance in the workplace enabling them to provide evidence to meet the requirements of each unit. Some candidates may be required to expand their current job role to achieve the units required.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of the NVQ, the candidate will be able to demonstrate they can:

  • exchange information and provide advice to a variety of people, including work colleagues and the public.
  • promote organisational services
  • consult the community about changes in planning policies
  • process and determine applications for financial incentives.
Entry Requirements

Candidates must currently be working within the area of their chosen qualification and have a minimum of 12 months’ experience.

Fees

NVQ Level 3 – £2,100 plus VAT

Course fees must be paid prior to commencement of the qualification. Instalment options may be offered upon agreement with the Centre.

*it is anticipated that most candidates will use the ePortfolio system, however candidates who require additional focus days with assessors may receive these at an additional cost of £100 per day.
