David Gibson - Chief Executive
Responsible for all external and internal activities linked to the running of the Association in adherence to the Association policies under the governance model.
David's family background was one of construction and a logical progression saw him entering the construction industry on leaving school. His working involvement in both domestic and commercial construction, linked to his interest in legislation, saw a diversification and move into the Public sector.
His career with four local authorities progressed to the position of Building Control Manager at Dacorum Borough Council. Specific interests relating to building control, fire design and building surveying were reflected in a range of publications, training and consultancy events.
Further developments saw a move into the Education sector and the creation and delivery of honours degree programmes. During this period he achieved a MSc in Property Development and Project Management.
He currently represents the ABE as the Chief Executive.
