Stephen Jones
Stephen has been a member of the ABE since 1997 and is a former member and Treasurer of the ABE Devon and Cornwall branch committee. Stephen is currently ABE South West Regional Chairman and an active Professional Interview panelist, he was co-opted onto council in May 2009 and is a member of the Staffing Committee.
Stephen is a Senior Associate with regional construction and property consultants Bailey Partnership, managing Building Surveying, Building Services Engineering and CDM Coordination delivery in their main office in Plymouth, Devon. Born and raised in Exeter, Stephen married Linda in 1978 and they moved to Plymouth in 1996 with their two (now adult) sons.
Trained as a surveyor in Her Majesty's Corps of Royal Engineers, Stephen has over 30 years of broad surveying experience related to construction and property, much of this gained in Europe and America before returning to his native Devon. Stephen enjoys a varied workload of general Project Management, CDM Coordination and dispute resolution and he is passionate about his role as a Construction Ambassador, supporting local schools.
