Vice President - Colin Bell BSc (Hons), VPBEng, FBEng, FCIOB, MRICS, DIP HI

Colin Bell is a Corporate Fellow of the Association of Building Engineers; a Corporate Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, a Corporate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a qualified Home Inspector and NVQ Assessor.
Colin was installed as Vice President of the ABE in May 2008.

The son of a Miner, born in Wallsend and living in Northumberland, Colin is Managing Director of Paramount Associates Limited, a Chartered Surveyors and Building Consultancy, based in the North East of England providing a range of professional services to the regional property market. Colin has over 30 years experience in the operations, procurement and management of surveying, building and maintenance in both the public and private sectors. Colin joined the ABE via the merger with the IMBM, since joining IMBM in the mid 1980's he was actively involved with regional activities and is a Past Regional Chairman and Continuing Professional Development Coordinator. He was also President Elect of IMBM at the time of the merger.
