Honorary Treasurer - Arwel Griffith BSc(Hons) PPBEng FBEng FRICS
Since joining the ABE in 1986, Arwel has progressed as a Council member. Chairman of the Greater London and City Branch in 1990 and upgraded to Fellow in 1994, Arwel has taken on the roles of Vice President and President before being elected as Honorary Treasurer from 2005 to 2008. He currently represents the ABE on the Government's Housing Strategy Forum, and is heavily involved with the Home Information Packs Initiative.
Born in London and currently living in Essex with his wife and daughter, Arwel is Managing Partner of the London based engineering and surveying practice known as Robert Sterling Chartered Surveyors. Arwel is a regular contributor to both local and national press and trade publications. He appears regularly on Jamie Owens' radio show for BBC Wales as a property expert, and he has also appeared on an edition of the BBC2 television programme, Newsnight. Arwel is checked and approved by the Law Society for the preparation of Expert Witness Reports. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
